Want to try something new?
Shortly after our trip to Dublin, my brother and I were speaking on the phone when he asked me if I fancied trying out diving together with him in Hurghada, Egypt. Since I’m always up for an adventure, my answer was, quite predictably, “sure, why not?”.
Hurghada is famous for its diving sites, and prices for flights and hotels are very affordable in winter as long as you stay clear of Christmas and other holidays. After some research, we found a nice hotel and a German diving school and booked everything for February. It is the coldest month in Egypt, but other obligations didn’t leave us much wiggle room. And “cold” in Hurghada is still warmer than Germany or Switzerland in February.
